Self Care Sunday November

  • The Karma House Kava Bar 8402 West Colfax Avenue Lakewood, Colorado, 80215 United States (map)

Join us for Self Care Sunday, a welcoming space to slow down, reconnect with yourself, & explore different forms of supportive care.

The Hokey Pokey Collective will offer drop-in community AcuDetox on a free + sliding-scale, pay-what-feels-accessible basis.

No appointment or prior experience is necessary.

Simply drop in, complete a brief check-in & informed consent form, & settle into a comfortable chair. A trained practitioner will gently place up to five sterile, single-use needles in each ear, inviting you to rest for approximately 30–60 minutes.

AcuDetox + Sound Healing

Settle into stillness while the sounds of singing bowls surround you.

During your AcuDetox session, you'll have the option to receive sound healing with singing bowls, creating a layered experience of rest, mindful listening, & relaxation.

As you sit comfortably with your AcuDetox needles in place, a sound healing practitioner will play singing bowls, allowing you to experience their gentle tones & resonant vibrations without needing to move or interrupt your treatment.

You can close your eyes, focus on your breath, listen to the sounds, or simply rest. There's no particular experience you're expected to have.

Singing bowl sound healing is available for a suggested donation of $1 per minute, allowing you to choose the duration that feels right for you.

Participation is entirely optional. You're equally welcome to receive AcuDetox without adding sound healing.

Explore More Ways to Receive Care

Throughout the afternoon, connect with local practitioners offering donation-based experiences, including Reiki, chair massage, tarot, & more, alongside local vendors sharing their goods, services, & creations.

Whether you stop by for a single session or spend the afternoon exploring, you're invited to move at your own pace, discover new forms of support, & connect with community.

Come as you are. Give what you can. Receive what you need.
